German Winter Course

The best place to learn a language is where it is spoken, and the best time to learn it is when you need it! Therefore Jade University offers the Winter German Course from 5. to 23. of February 2018.

It’s a perfect opportunity for prospective students of Jade University to acquire or improve their German language skills, acculturate and make friends!

 

 

Programme

The course offers 75 hours of German lessons which equals five credit points. Conversation, pronunciation and grammar are taught intensively in the mornings. Various cultural topics are worked out in projects or presentations. Afternoons and evenings can be used to practice what was learned in the morning. Moreover, students can participate in an organized leisure programme during the week and at weekends to get to know Wilhelmshaven and its region.
At the end of the course participants improved their knowledge of Germany and feel confident in the German language.

Aim of the course

Communication skills, pronunciation, listening comprehension and grammar shall be improved.Participants live in Wilhelmshaven for a three week period to work on their language skills in a small study group overseen by a qualified teacher. It is a perfect opportunity for prospective students of Jade University to acquire or improve their German language skills, acculturate and make friends!

Accomodation

As accommodation, Wilhelmshaven has two student dorms (CVJM or Studentenwerk). Another possibility is to contact other students for flat sharing.

Costs

The course fee is 420,- € and includes lessons as well as transportation and entrance fees of the excursions. It does not include accommodation and costs of living.

Dates and registration

Participants should arrive latest 4 February as the course starts on 5 February. Departure can be planned for 24 February, since the last course day is 23 February. The registration form should be handed in until 15 January 2018.
