My name is Sven Greipl and I study Business Engineering in Wilhelmshaven:an absolutely interesting study program, which offers a vast amount of options in the future. Especially in Wilhelmshaven, because the university is a comparably small one and thus, the course in Business Engineering is a small one, too.

Every course normally starts in autumn, but many courses start in spring as well. That was a main reason for me to study in Wilhelmshaven. I served in the German Air Force for a couple of years and needed to choose a university that starts in spring.
The reasons to study in Wilhelmshaven are versatile. The department is a small one, so you know nearly every professor and have a direct and close contact to the lecturers. Also, you will get to know all your fellow students very quickly, which makes for a familiar atmosphere. I and most of the other students feel very welcome in Wilhelmshaven.

The city of Wilhelmshaven is not too big, but it has an interesting history and is most famous for its big naval harbor. There are a couple of advantages to study in Wilhelmshaven, too. Rent and living costs are low, which is perfect for students. The cultural and sports activities on offer are very versatile. The free time you’ll have, you can spend at Germany’s only south beach, in one of the nice pubs, or at the “Pumpwerk”, a very nice location with live music every Wednesday in summer.

For the weekends you’ll spend in Wilhelmshaven, you can make a lot of trips in the region of the North Sea. The famous and very beautiful East Frisian Islands invite to a daytrip, too.
