Welcome to the laboratory for digital engineering

The laboratory for digital engineering is a "mixed reality cave" - a room for the projection of a three-dimensional virtual reality. In order to experience digital models, adapt them or carry out simulations, several users can interact with them at the same time. For this purpose, among other things, “augmented reality” helmets with integrated computers, “handheld” positioning systems, which are equipped with sensors who indicate their own position, and a mobile robot. In addition, real objects, such as 3D-printed models, can also be integrated into the virtual world in the purpose of “mixed reality”. For example, the interaction between human and machine can be mapped in complex production scenarios or on construction sites. The partners wo are involved have the opportunity to experience and test prototypes at an early stage using interactive models via interactive robotics.
