• Our services

    • Research data management (RDM) refers to the planning, organisation, storage, documentation and dissemination of research data throughout the research process.

It includes the development of strategies and guidelines for the efficient management of data to ensure that it is accessible, traceable, secure and usable in the long term. The aim of research data management is to improve the quality, integrity and reusability of research data and thus make research more effective.

Jade University offers the following services:

      • Training courses on all relevant topics in research data management: data management plan, metadata, repository search, first guiding principles for data protection and copyright issues, etc.
      • Assessment of needs and shared development of strategies for a FAIR RDM
      • Project assistance “light”: research projects can be guided and supported on request
      • Individual counselling: in person, by phone, via email
      • New: research data management in teaching – planned from WS 2026/27

The setup of a sustainable research data management at Jade University is embedded in a project of the State Initiative Research Data Management Lower Saxony and is supported by the Ministry for Science and Culture (MWK) and the Volkswagen Foundation.
