GoProm – The collaboration platform for collaborative PhD programmes in Lower Saxony

GoProm is a Lower Saxony-wide collaboration platform that was developed as part of the JadeProf project. Its aim is to facilitate joint PhD programmes between universities of applied sciences (HAW) and universities, and to make them more transparent.

The platform is aimed in particular at professionals who wish to gain the eligibility to be appointed to a professorship at a university of applied sciences by completing a PhD.

GoProm was developed at the University of Vechta under the leadership of Prof. Dr Corinna Onnen. Through a state-wide network between universities of applied sciences and research universities, established by the Lower Saxony State Higher Education Conference, the aim is to strengthen contacts, standardise processes and raise awareness of the option of collaborative PhD programmes.

Quotes from the JadeProf PhD programme

My PhD is giving me the opportunity to delve deeply into a topic of my choice and to contribute to the latest research. The professional network I have been able to build up during this time is also particularly valuable to me.
