In NSSEP PLUS partners from all EU Member States represented in the INTERREG North Sea Region Programme together with a non-co-fundable Norwegian participation further exploit and refine the potential of the C02-calculator tool, which has been designed during the meanwhile finished INTERREG IVB project North Sea Sustainable Energy Planning - NSSEP".As one of the key outcomes under the NSSEP project, this tool is the perfect instrument to work on the mindset towards carbon reduction. The central goal is to communicate with this tool and through new partners, means, methods and multipliers how actions of public authorities, SMEs, organisations, individual citizens and other stakeholders easily contribute to the CQ2-reduction goal.C02 reduction has been in the discussion for some time to be accepted as a universal contribution to mitigate man made negative impact on climate and usage of resources alike. lnvolving citizens in the harmonized approach described will foster the understanding that the common effort can merge across areas of differentiated density of population, political boundaries, language barriers and other Iimitations alike. Especially the question of mobility- but also the counter-argument of a non-delimited climatic impact will help to visualise the problem in an increasing clarity.New means of communicating this by e.g. using smart devices or individualised Iocal initiatives with an overarching branding will support also the perception as a joint region tackling a joint problem demanding joint action by individual contributions.
