Abstract

Emerging intelligent multi-agent work environments, where collaborative robots team up with humans, hold significant potential for competitiveness through efficient and adaptable processes. We present results from Work Domain Analysis (WDA), a method for deriving requirements for human-centric design of human-robot collaboration. Based on the EU Horizon project SOPRANO, we applied WDA to an industrial use case in the automotive industry. The analysis identified 19 requirements for successful human-robot collaboration, categorized and prioritized with respect to human-factors categories. These requirements contribute to human-centered design by providing understanding of the overall work system and guidance on the successful introduction of collaborative robots in human environments.
