How and when can I apply?

Application period

Applicants with a German entrance qualification can apply for the summer semester starting on 1 December, and for the winter semester from 1 June. The various courses have different application deadlines, especially the limited intake (numerus clausus) courses. Please see the details for each course in the Range of courses. For general information and application periods, see our general admission requirements.

What does a university course cost?

Fees

Students in Lower Saxony pay an enrolment or re-enrolment fee for each semester. The fee varies depending on the course program and campus. You can find our fees in the table published by the Enrolment Office.

Living costs

Of course, you will also need to pay for accommodation, health insurance, food, clothing, TV licence and hobbies. The Oldenburg Student Services Office can give you a rough guide about these costs.
