How to get here

By rail

There are trains to Elsfleth every hour from Bremen (direct), Oldenburg (change in Hude) and Nordenham (direct). See the website of the german railway company.
From the station in Elsfleth it is a three-minute walk to the Kaje building and a ten-minute walk (approximately) to the other buildings in the Maritime Faculty (see the plan of faculty layout).

By car

From Bremen take the A28 as far as the exit Ganderkesee-West. From here follow the signs on the B212 for Elsfleth.

From Oldenburg/Emden take the A28 until the motorway junction Oldenburg–West. From there take the A293 in the direction of Oldenburg-Nadorst, then follow the signs for Elsfleth.

From Osnabrück take the A29 as far as the exit Oldenburg-Ohmstede. This takes you to a connecting road between the A29 and the A293, which you leave at the exit Ohmstede/Donnerschwee. At this point turn right towards Elsfleth.

From Bremerhaven take the A27 south. Take the ferry to Nordenham and then the B212 towards Elsfleth.
Or continue south on the motorway until you see the signs for the Wesertunnel, and on leaving it, drive south to Elsfleth.

In Elsfleth there is one set of traffic lights at the crossroads Oberrege/Hafenstrasse/Wurpstrasse. Turn into Hafenstrasse. At the end of Hafenstrasse turn half-left over the level crossing and consult the plan of the faculty layout.

The Maritime Campus is best reached by turning left from the Hafenstrasse into Peterstrasse. If your Sat Nav cannot locate “Weinkaje” use the address “Mühlenstrasse 101” (Hotel zur Alten Mühle). Opposite the hotel the road climbs up the dyke to the campus.
