GOstralia!-GOmerica! feiert das 25-jährige Bestehen!

Um diesen Meilenstein und die über 10.000 erfolgreich inspirierten und vermittelten Studierenden aus 25 Jahren zu feiern, vergibt GOstralia!-GOmerica! mehr als 25 notenunabhängige Stipendien. Diese decken entweder 100% oder 50% der Studiengebühren für ein Auslandssemester oder die kompletten Kosten des Wohnheims für ein Semester. Die Teilnahme ist ganz einfach: Bewerber:innen müssen in die Rolle ihres zukünftiges "Ichs" schlüpfen und in einem kurzen Video oder Statement aus der "fiktiven Retrospektive" erzählen, wie das Auslandssemester ihr Leben nachhaltig verändert und auf den Kopf gestellt hat. Summer School “Selected Topics in Tourism, International Hospitality and Attractions Management” (July 14-25, 2025):

This is a 2-week intensive course of 6 ECTS credits, taught in English, covering the following topics: Environmental policy and sustainable tourism; cutting-edge technology applied to tourism activities; human resource management; hospitality finance; exploring AI to better understand customer satisfaction; and culture, history, leisure, and attractions management in Madrid. 
  
There is also an option to enroll only in the first two weeks of the SSEB (June 30-July 11, 2025) for students in our Tourism Summer School and in the Climate Change Summer School
  
Please note that tuition fees are subject to discounts for students from any university that promotes our programs to their students, and for early-bird applications. And we will be happy to reciprocally advertise your summer programs on our website
  
Our programs expose our students to a truly international environment; so far, we have had 304 students from 59 countries. The academic excellence of our summer courses is complemented by social and cultural events, as well as field trips, which are not offered during the regular fall and spring semesters.

IULM International Week 2025


Greetings from Italy, I hope this email finds you well!
 
We are seeking applications from international scholars who would like to participate in our fifth IULM Communication International Week, a three-day event taking place from May 7 to 9, 2025. 
 
Classes will be held in presence at our university campus in Milan. The language of instruction is English.

This international event is mainly aimed at our Bachelor students in Corporate Communication and Public Relations, but is open to all interested IULM students at the Bachelor's and Master's level.
Your lecture  proposal should focus on a topic from the field of communication and related disciplines: advertising, social media, intercultural communication, employee engagement, corporate social responsibility and sustainability, reputation management, consumer psychology, information technology, artificial intelligence, sociology of media, HR management, applied linguistics etc.
Lecturers will be asked to repeat their presentation 2 times ( each lecture is approximately 70 minutes long).
Guest lecturers can apply for an Erasmus+ grant through their home institution to support their participation in the event. No registration fee is required for participation. Participants are responsible for covering their own travel, accommodation, and daily allowance costs. We can help you with suggestions for accommodation in Milan.

Blended Intensive Projects (BIP)

Invitation to Participate in Erasmus BIP for Staff: “Developing AI-Based Learning Materials in STEM”

We are delighted to invite your staff members to participate in the Erasmus BIP for staff “Developing AI-Based Learning Materials in STEM”, hosted by TTK University of Applied Sciences in Tallinn, Estonia.
This BIP is designed for STEM educators eager to explore how artificial intelligence can transform teaching practices and enhance the development of STEM learning materials. Participants will gain hands-on experience with AI tools and techniques, no programming skills required, and learn to effectively apply these technologies in their daily work.
About the Programme:
The course will cover:
•    Prompt engineering
•    Creating learning materials based on big data analysis
•    Chatbot development
•    AI-powered image generation
•    3D visualisation for technical disciplines
Participants are asked to bring their laptops to fully engage in the practical sessions.
Outcomes:
•    Participants will understand fundamental AI concepts through practical examples and applications.
•    Participants will be equipped to develop AI-based learning materials for STEM subjects.
Key Dates:
•    30.01.2025 — Online kick-off meeting, 15:00–16:30 (Estonian time, EET, GMT +2 hours)
•    31.01.2025 to 14.02.2025 — Independent work: Exploring and documenting AI tools for learning material development

We are excited to invite your students to participate in our upcoming Erasmus+ Blended Intensive Program titled "Data Unlocked: Mastering Data Analysis Methods and Storytelling." This program offers a hands-on approach to developing essential research and storytelling skills while addressing practical challenges. 
Who can apply? 
Last year bachelor students and master level students from different social science fields and previous knowledge on research methodology. 

Program Dates:

•    Physical Component: 10.02.2025-14.12.2025 

Program Details: 

•    Objectives and Description:
Students will explore quantitative and qualitative data analysis methods, discover how artificial intelligence can support research, and learn to transform data into engaging stories tailored to diverse audiences. 

•    Added Value:
Through team-based research projects, students will collaborate to analyze data and present findings, enhancing teamwork skills. Diverse perspectives from different social science fields will broaden their approach to data analysis and storytelling. Workshops on data collection, analysis, and presentation will enrich their skill set while promoting responsible research practices. 

•    Competences Gained:
Participants will gain expertise in selecting and applying appropriate research methods, responsibly handling data, and effectively communicating research findings. 

•    Expenses and Conditions:
The program is organized under Erasmus+ funding, ensuring accessibility to students meeting the Erasmus+ eligibility criteria. BIP individual support (Erasmus+ scholarship) should cover expenses related to travel, accomodation, catering (breakfast, lunch, dinner). Sending institution provides this individual support under Erasmus+ program. All the cultural activities, such as excursions, welcome dinner, and more (will be specified) will be covered by organizing institution.
